'You can't defend me for the same things you are doing': Katie Hill unleashes on Matt Gaetz in new CNN interview
April 11, 2021
Former Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) struck up an unlikely friendship with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) when she was in Congress. Gaetz was supportive of Hill when she was shoved out of Congress when her ex-husband posted revenge porn to destroy her life and her career.
Now that Gaetz is being accused of showing nude photos of women or girls he'd slept with on the House floor, Hill is speaking out.
<p>In an interview with CNN's Jim Acosta, Hill explained confessed that after her husband and now Gaetz, she clearly isn't good at filtering skeevy men. </p><p>As Gaetz fundraises off of the scandal and reaches out to women's groups, more are coming forward to accuse him of unseemly behavior. </p><p>"I know you were horrified that Getz invoked your name and what happened to you in that op-ed he put out the other day why he wouldn't resign," said Acosta. "You called it gross. Do you want an apology from Congressman Gaetz?"</p><p>"I mean, if he is not going to apologize for the scandal to the Americans who are embroiled in it, I am not expecting an apology to me," Hill said, frankly. "Two things: first, I find it horrifying that my own scandal, which involved a consenting adult and his that involves, you know, a person that's under 18, that involves sex-trafficking, that involves, you know, all kinds of abhorrent behavior, they are not the same. Let's not pretend they are the same. That's one of the reasons it offended me so much. The other thing is that he defended me when I had naked pictures that were shared without my consent. And then come to find out that that's pretty much what he was doing, or is certainly accused of doing by multiple people on the floor of the House of Representatives. So, for me, that kind of -- that shuts it off. Those -- you can't -- you can't defend me for the same thing that you are going to do. And you certainly can't compare my scandal to the one that he's facing right now."</p><p>See the interview below: </p><p><br/></p><p class="shortcode-media shortcode-media-youtube">

Far-right wing extremists have moved on from "Stop the Steal" to "Stop the Vaccine" as a few took the streets this weekend to protest the COVID-19 vaccine. Why the vaccine is bad appears to vary from person to person.
As one Huntington Beach, California man explained, the vaccine is made of baby parts. It's unclear how he came to that conclusion, but it's remarkably similar to conspiracy theories from the 1990s that said beverages were made from dead babies. Snapple, Pepsi and others were part of the bizarre conspiracy. It harkens back to the 1973 film "Soylent Green," which predicts that by 2022 America will enter an ecological dystopia in which overpopulation leads humans to create a tasty beverage that converts corpses into Soylent Green.
<p>Like Snapple, the COVID-19 vaccines aren't made of people. Pfizer and Moderna use pieces of genetic material (mRNA) to create the vaccine and don't include "live" versions of the virus, <a href="https://www.goodrx.com/covid-19/ingredients-covid-19-vaccine" target="_blank">as GoodRX explained</a>. The genetic material isn't from baby parts. </p><p>"The mRNA is produced in laboratory equipment (not in live cells), using the genome of the novel coronavirus as a template. Once the mRNA is in your body, your own cells can use it to make harmless models of the spike protein," said GoodRx. </p><p><a href="https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mrna.html" target="_blank">As the CDC explained</a>, mRNA vaccines "teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies."</p><p>Still, this man loses his mind over baby parts and claimed all Black Lives Matter donations go to Joe Biden. </p><p>See the video below via @JLeeQuinn</p><p><br/></p><div class="rm-embed embed-media"><div style="position:relative;padding-bottom:56.25%;height:0;overflow:hidden;"> <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="100%" src="https://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/kyZgZhtRt2ekZfwNBMJ" style="width:100%;height:100%;position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px;overflow:hidden" type="text/html" width="100%"> </iframe> </div></div><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p class="shortcode-media shortcode-media-youtube">

Ex-Trump attorney facing lawsuit apologizes for saying fired administration official should be 'taken out at dawn and shot'
April 11, 2021
According to a report from Axios, attorney Joeseph diGenova has issued a written apology to former Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency director Chris Krebs for stating on Newsmax that the dismissed Trump administration official should be executed.
In December, Krebs filed a lawsuit against diGenova, Newsmax and the Trump campaign for defamation, emotional distress and conspiracy after the attorney attacked him by saying, that Krebs "should be drawn and quartered" and "taken out at dawn and shot," following Krebs interview on "60 Minutes" where he disputed Trump's assertion that there was election fraud that led to Trump's failure to be re-elected.
<p>In the suit Krebs claimed <a href="https://www.axios.com/cisa-krebs-lawsuit-trump-campaign-digenova-newsmax-08b38316-084e-4889-acb7-8ca3e5cda60c.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">the three parties he was suing</a>, "engaged in a conspiracy to defame and inflict severe emotional distress" on conservatives "who refuse to subserviently hew to the [Trump] campaign's false narratives" on election tampering.</p><p>That led to diGenova's comments which he is now apologizing for.</p><p>According to Axios, diGenova wrote, "During the show, I made regrettable statements regarding Christopher Krebs, which many interpreted as a call for violence against him," adding, "A few days later on Newsmax, I apologized for my grossly inappropriate statements, and today I reiterate my public apology to Mr. Krebs and his family for any harm my words caused. Given today's political climate, I should have more carefully expressed my criticism of Mr. Krebs, who was just doing his job."</p><p>You can <a href="https://www.axios.com/trump-lawyer-digenova-apologizes-krebs-a2157220-52c2-451f-9747-38438401e854.html" target="_blank">read more here</a>.</p>
