President-elect Barack Obama suggested that he prosecuting torture committed by the Bush administration would not be a priority for him.

"We have not made final decisions, but my instinct is for us to focus on how to we make sure we're moving forward, we are doing the right thing. that doesn't mean that if somebody has blatantly broken the law that they are above the law, but my orientation is going to be moving forward," said Obama

Obama told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he plans to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay but won't accomplish that goal during the first 100 days of his administration. "It is more difficult than I think a lot of people realize and we are going to get it done," he said.
