California Lt. Gov.: ‘Republican infection’ spreading across nation
With a $42 billion shortfall, no state is having bigger budget problems than California. Republicans in the California legislature voted to replace one of their state leaders because he had agreed to a compromise with the Democrats.
California Lt. Governor John Garamendi told MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer that he is fighting Republican efforts to shut down the government. “We has an infection and it’s a Republican infection that’s really spreading across this nation,” he said.
