Scandals in Herschel Walker's personal life took another bizarre turn after the former NFL star denied knowing the identity of the woman who accused him of reimbursing her for an abortion and sending a "get well" card.
After the report initially broke in The Daily Beast on Monday, the GOP nominee's son, Christian Walker, took to social media, saying he believed the report before detailing alleged abuse and death threats from his father.
As Walker struggled to contain the damage, he went on Fox News for an interview with Brian Kilmeade, who asked if the Heisman Trophy-winner knew the identity of the woman in question.
“Not at all,” Walker replied. “And that’s what I hope everyone can see. It’s sort of like everyone is anonymous, or everyone is leaking, and they want you to confess to something you have no clue about.”
Roger Sollenberger, who wrote the initial story for The Beast, followed up with his source in a new report.
The woman said that in addition to Walker paying for an abortion, they also had a child together. The Daily Beast says Walker has publicly acknowledged the child is his.
“Sure, I was stunned, but I guess it also doesn’t shock me, that maybe there are just so many of us that he truly doesn’t remember,” she said. “But then again, if he really forgot about it, that says something, too.”

Days after NBC's "Saturday Night Live" struggled through the season premiere of the show's 48th season, the longtime sketch comedy show was discussed in Michigan's gubernatorial election.
"A new Tudor Dixon ad is so cringe-worthy that we had to double check to make sure it wasn’t a parody," the Detroit Metro Times' Steve Neavling wrote Wednesday. "The video features a group of leather-clad bikers complaining about COVID-19 restrictions, rising gas prices, and abortion rights."
The story was published under the headline, "New Tudor Dixon ad could be an ‘SNL’ skit gone bad."
"The video is dubbed with emotional orchestral music, and the acting is awful," the weekly reported.
After the group complains about Whitmer, the video reaches its climax.
"Okay, okay, I’m voting for the other chick. What’s her name?” a biker asks.
The other six characters replied, "Tudor Dixon."
'Every two weeks there's another scandal!' Bill O'Reilly fumes about Herschel Walker's chaos-filled campaign
Former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly appeared visibly frustrated this week after Trump-backed Senate candidate Herschel Walker's campaign was beset by multiple scandals.
O'Reilly started off by noting that the scandals surrounding Walker and his multiple secret children have been steadily dripping in for months now, so the latest bombshell claims about him allegedly paying for an abortion and threatening to kill his family aren't as shocking as they otherwise might be.
"Every two weeks there's another scandal about Herschel Walker," he railed. "And the latest one is that he had a girlfriend and he paid for an abortion."
O'Reilly went on to give Walker some practical advice: Either hold in news conference in which you announce a defamation suit against The Daily Beast, or lose the race to Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA).
"And you have to do that now!" O'Reilly implored him. "So that the people in Georgia going, 'What the deuce is this, every two weeks we've got another child fathered by Mr. Walker, or this, or whatever!' But if this is not true, your lawyers have to mobilize now!"
