‘Emotional’ Jim Jordan taken down by CNN doctor for his temper tantrum at Dr. Fauci
April 15, 2021
On Thursday's edition of CNN's "The Situation Room," medical analyst Dr. Celine Gounder tore into Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) for throwing a fit at Dr. Anthony Fauci on Capitol Hill because he is still recommending face coverings in public, demanding to know when his "freedoms" will stop being violated.
"Tough exchange over there," said anchor Wolf Blitzer. "What goes through your mind when you hear an exchange like that up on Capitol Hill?"
"Wolf, look, I think Congressman Jordan was really emotional," said Gounder. "I think that when we are angry, when we are afraid, when we're in pain, sometimes we lash out. I think, unfortunately, he lashed out at not just the messenger here, but also one of the very people who is leading us out of this mess. I think, to answer the question he was posing of Dr. Fauci, the answer is we do not know. We do not know what portion of people need to be vaccinated until you get to herd immunity. It's like asking a 5-year-old why do you not know calculus. It's been a real crash course over the past year."
"The other wrench in all of this is the rise of these new variants," added Gounder. "And if you have new variants emerging that are more infectious, that means that the percentage of people who need to be vaccinated to get to herd immunity will go up. Congressman Jordan could be part of the solution. In surveys, we see 20 percent of conservatives do not plan at all to get vaccinated. This is something he could be reaching out to his constituents about stepping out to get vaccinated and getting us all closer to safety, health and our freedoms."

Conspiracy loving GOP senator basted for pushing 'white supremacist Great Replacement theory' on Fox
April 15, 2021
Less than one week after Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt demanded Fox News fire Tucker Carlson for pushing a white supremacist conspiracy theory, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) pushed the same racist talking point on Fox Business.
Johnson pushed the conspiracy theory during an interview with controversial former Trump official Larry Kudlow.
"This administration wants complete open borders, and you have to ask yourself why. Is it really they want to remake the demographics of America to ensure their -- that they stay in power forever? Is that what's happening here?" Johnson asked.
Ben Wikler, the chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, blasted Johnson for his comments.
"Ron Johnson never met a far-right conspiracy theory he didn't like, so you had to figure he'd land on the white supremacist Great Replacement theory sooner or later. Makes me sick to my stomach that this guy—temporarily—represents Wisconsin in the Senate," Wikler said.
Johnson is up for re-election in 2022 and seems to have decided that racism is his best bet to win re-election.

Ted Cruz will no longer wear a mask in the Senate despite CDC guidelines and rising coronavirus cases
April 15, 2021
As COVID-19 continues to rise across half the country and the CDC IS urging Americans to continue to practice social distancing and mask-wearing, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz has decided he will no longer wear a mask while on Capitol Hill.
"At this point I've been vaccinated. Everybody working in the Senate has been vaccinated," the Texas Republican told CNN, which is false. About one in four members of Congress are refusing to be inoculated or to disclose their vaccination status as of last month. And many people who are not working in the Senate, but visiting Capitol Hill on business enter the building daily.
Axios reports COVID -19 is on the rise in half the country, including Texas, which saw an 18.5% increase in new cases from April 6 to April 13.
"At this point, virtually everyone here has been vaccinated. And everyone has the opportunity," Cruz added, after a reporter told him they and others had not been vaccinated.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is the only other Senator who has steadfastly refused to wear a mask. He also claims he is not and will not be vaccinated. Paul tested positive for coronavirus last year in March, which he falsely suggests makes him immune.
The COVID vaccine is highly-effective but not one-hundred percent. Current studies show in real-world examples it's 90% effective, and with 43% of Republicans across the country refusing to be vaccinated, America is a long way away from herd immunity.
Hours before Cruz made clear he will no longer wear a mask, Pfizer announced it will "likely" be necessary for Americans to get an annual booster shot, much like with the flu.
"We're still learning how vaccines will affect the spread of COVID-19," the CDC notes in an April 2 update. "After you've been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions—like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces—in public places until we know more."
Cruz has been working up to this moment. Last month he infamously refused a reporter's request to wear a mask, again falsely claiming CDC guidelines did not require him to.
Question: Would you mind putting on a mask for us? Ted Cruz: Yeah when I’m talking to the TV camera, I’m not going… https://t.co/G7I7rNFIyj— Acyn (@Acyn)1616611156.0
