Ex-Oath Keeper terrified FBI is tailing him after calling for protesters to invade DC 'armed in large groups'
January 21, 2021
On Thursday, The Daily Beast profiled Sam Andrews, a former member of the right-wing paramilitary group the Oath Keepers, who called for the Capitol protesters to arm themselves ahead of the insurrection — and now is trying to distance himself out of fear that the FBI could come after him.
"Andrews was outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, but says he did not enter the building," reported Kelly Weill. "Following Donald Trump's election loss, Andrews appeared in a widely shared video that called on the right to converge on D.C. 'armed, in large groups," as The Washington Post previously reported. Those groups, he said, should show up 'en masse in D.C., armed, demanding, not asking, that we get a peaceful resolution on these voter corruption issues.'"

Now, fearing retribution from federal agents, he is walking back all of this.

"Now separate from the Oath Keepers, Andrews has focused his efforts on a Lebanon, Missouri, shooting range, where he said he often trains law enforcement," said the report. "Shortly after speaking to The Daily Beast, Andrews suggested on Facebook that journalists were calling him on the FBI's orders to somehow make him implicate himself in a crime."

The assault on the Capitol, which left five people dead, has shocked the nation and left experts fearful that it could have been much worse. Already, dozens of people have been arrested in connection with the incident by state and federal authorities, and face a wide range of charges.

AOC smacks down Ted Cruz after he says Paris Climate Agreement is about the ‘citizens of Paris’
January 21, 2021
'Senators Should Be Competent'
U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blasted U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday after he criticized newly-sworn in President Joe Biden for rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement hours after taking office.

The embattled Texas Senator tried to pay homage to former President Donald Trump in a tweet suggesting that the historic accords were simply about "the views of the citizens of Paris," instead of "the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh." Trump used that false argument when he withdrew from the Agreement.

197 countries have signed the Paris Agreement, nine – including the U.S. under Trump – have pulled out or are no longer following it. The only countries that are not part of the agreement but considered significant emitters of greenhouse gasses are the U.S. and Iran.

"By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh," Cruz tweeted Wednesday. "This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans."

Cruz is facing calls for his resignation or expulsion from the Senate after he became a leader in the movement to unlawfully overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. That movement came to a head after Cruz and Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) joined President Donald Trump in inciting the deadly January 6 insurrection.

Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez slammed Cruz, strongly suggesting he is incompetent, mocking his grasp of the Paris Agreement, and lambasting him for his role in the insurrection.

Nice tweet Sen. Cruz! Quick question: do you also believe the Geneva Convention was about the views of the citizens of Geneva?
'For what?': Defiant Lindsey Graham insists he has nothing to apologize for after months of election lies
January 21, 2021
"I'm not going to apologize for anything"
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham insists he and the GOP have nothing to apologize for, and is lambasting Democrats who think they do. The South Carolina Republican who was now-former President Donald Trump's top supporter, defender, and confidant in the Senate was asked if he thinks he should apologize now that the nation has a new president.

"For what?" the defiant Graham, who has held public office for nearly three decades, repeatedly asked CBS News' Marge Brennan.

"Is there an apology for the broader misconception, the lies you talked about?" Brennan politely pressed, not spelling out that Graham for months spread lies about the 2020 election.

"I mean, do you all need to issue an apology for trying to destroy President Trump's presidency from day one?" Graham, scoffing at the mere suggestion he had done anything wrong, replied.

"I don't think so," he added, suggesting again he had nothing to apologize for.

Graham said the "bottom line" is he "called the Secretary of State to find out how you could verify signatures," something he, as a Senator from South Carolina, had no business doing.

"I'm not going to apologize for anything," he continued, saying he wants to "look forward" and "heal the nation" by working on infrastructure and immigration.

"Starting this presidency with the idea that somebody needs to apologize probably doesn't move us forward," Graham said.

In reality, the Georgia official Senator Graham called tells a different, far more devious, and possibly criminal story.

Graham has been accused of trying to interfere in the Georgia election, after he called that state's Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, who said he was "stunned" after receiving the call. He added he felt Graham was suggesting he “look hard and see how many ballots you could throw out."

A former U.S. Attorney has asked the Georgia State Election Board to investigate, Forbes has reported.

Watch Sen.
