At the White House health care summit Thursday, President Barack Obama gave his staunchest defense of reconciliation yet.

"You know this issue of reconciliation has been brought up again and I think the American people aren't always all that interested in procedures inside the Senate. I do think they want a vote on how we're going to move this forward and, you know, I think that most Americans think that a majority vote makes sense," said Obama.
