CBS’ Leslie Stahl talked with Pakistani students in Pakistan’s Swat valley. One student told Stahl that the US attacked itself on 9/11 as excuse to go to war with Muslim countries.

‘You bankrupted them before you bailed them out’: Twitter fires back at Trump video praising farmers

This Wednesday, the official Twitter account for the White House posted a video featuring President Trump giving praise to America's farmers, but some of the responses in the comment thread beneath the video were less than optimistic.

"Our farmers are brilliant, what they do is incredible," Trump says in the video. "If you look at the technology and the kind of things that have taken place over the last ten years on farms ... and what's happened with respect to farming ... not only has it become very complex, but has grown in so many ways. So I just want to thank our farmers, I want to thank you for the support -- you're brilliant in every way. Few people could do what you do."

Sparring between Mike Bloomberg and the leading Democratic candidates erupted hours before Wednesday night’s debate, previewing what’s expected to be a tense night as the billionaire businessman meets his rivals onstage for the first time.

Both Bernie Sanders’ and Joe Biden’s campaigns took aim at Bloomberg, the former raising questions about the 78-year-old’s health and the latter pointing out reversals in Bloomberg’s stances on key issues.

White House flack gets busted after claiming Trump ‘barely knows’ GOPer who took pardon offer to Assange

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham claimed on Wednesday that President Donald Trump "barely knows" former Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), who has been linked to a possible pardon for Julian Assange.

At a pre-trial hearing earlier on Wednesday, Assange asserted that he had been offered a pardon in exchange for publicly denying that Russia hacked Democratic National Committee servers during the 2016 election campaign.

Rohrabacher admitted in 2017 that he had tried to broker a deal between Assange and the White House.
