Evangelical self-described 'prophet' tells Eric Trump his father’s 4 indictments will 'all fall apart'
September 08, 2023
Despite the fact that he is facing four criminal indictments, former President Donald Trump is still popular among far-right white evangelicals and Christian nationalists.
One of Trump's evangelical supporters is Pastor Julie Green, a self-described "prophet" who heads Julie Green Ministries International.
When the former president's son, Eric Trump, appeared on Green's internet show on Thursday night, September 7, she predicted that the four indictments will "all fall apart."
Newsweek's Jon Jackson notes, "Eric Trump, an executive vice president at the Trump Organization, began the appearance by accusing the Biden Administration of targeting his father with indictments, adding that attacks from Democrats have made the former president stronger."
Green insisted that God is "on" the former president's "side."

A Proud Boys member has appealed his seditious conspiracy conviction in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, according to court documents obtained by CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane.
Ethan Nordean was sentenced last week to 18 years on the conviction, MacFarlane reports.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
Nordean and fellow Proud Boys member Dominic Pezzola were convicted after a five-month trial with co-defendants Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and former Proud Boys chairman Henry “Enrique” Tarrio.
The Washington Post reports that: “Nordean, 33, of Washington state, was tapped to head the “boots on the ground” in D.C. after Tarrio was banned from the city because of a Jan. 4 arrest. Nordean and Biggs, a far-right online personality and associate of broadcaster Alex Jones, used bullhorns to direct about 200 men away from a rally featuring Trump.”

Whistleblowers reveal Ken Paxton's office kept reporter 'blacklist'
September 08, 2023
Whistleblower Ryan Vassar revealed during testimony Friday morning that the attorney general’s office kept a “blacklist” of reporters whom they “handled differently than other reporters.” Vassar testified that Dallas Morning News reporter Lauren McGaughy, who has covered the attorney general’s office for a decade, was on that list.
The revelation came during the cross-examination of Vassar, the former deputy attorney general for legal counsel, continued into a second day on Friday. Paxton defense attorney Mitch Little directed the witness to specific group text messages where they discussed McGaughy’s coverage of the office as they reported Paxton’s activity to the FBI. The group text also included messages that criticized new lawyers in the office who were hired as the whistleblowers were fired or resigned after they reported Paxton’s allegedly illegal activity to the FBI.
