Geraldine Ferraro, the first major-party female candidate for the vice presidency, passed away Saturday morning at age 75. Her legacy as a tough female politician, however, lives on.

Below, watch a clip from the 1984 vice presidential debate between Ferraro and then-Vice President George H.W. Bush, where she bites back at Bush when he "tries to explain" the difference between Lebanon and Iran to her.

"Let me just say, first of all, that I almost resent Vice President Bush here's patronizing attitude that you have to teach me about foreign policy," she says.
