Bill Clinton: ‘Birther’ doubts about Obama are ‘ludicrous’

Published

on

Former President Bill Clinton told ABC’s Bianna Golodgrya that President Barack Obama fight back against “birthers” who questioned his citizenship.

“If I were them, I’d be really careful riding that birther horse too much,” Clinton said of potential Republican presidential candidates. “Everyone knows it’s ludicrous.”

“I think one of the elementary rules of combat is you don’t want to get in your opponent’s way if he’s shooting himself in the foot,” he added.

This video is from ABC’s Good Morning America, broadcast April 4, 2011.

Former Donald Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort appeared in court Thursday for arraignment, and the court crowd was quick to heckle him.

Manafort was charged by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. for a series of felony charges surrounding mortgage fraud, conspiracy and falsifying business records in New York.

But as the use of psychedelics expands, evolves and becomes more diverse, its longstanding biases of gender and ethnicity are becoming more conspicuous. If these substances are a portal to ultimate reality, as their advocates claim, why do they appear to be the preserve of such a narrow segment of humanity?

It’s a good day for a chokehold.

This was the Facebook post of a Phoenix police officer.

In a different post, a Philadelphia police lieutenant recounted a courthouse scene in which a defendant and his family walk off an elevator: “… indignant about the fact that those of us actually working are going the other way. I fucking hate them.”

Another lieutenant commented: “I fucking hate the [sic] too.”

An online database called the Plain View Project has collected more than 5,000 bigoted, racist, sexist, Islamophobic Facebook postings and comments like these by former and current law enforcement officers in jurisdictions across the country.
