Progressive Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR) called on President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders to toughen their stance against the GOP approach to solving the deficit purely with spending cuts.
"We should say, they don't get a single Democratic vote till they stop pretending that you can somehow achieve fiscal responsibility without revenues," he said Wednesday on MSNBC. "We could cut the deficit in half if we just let [the Bush tax cuts] expire."
His advice for Obama: "Act like a Democrat."
