Rep. Aaron Schock (R-IL) is infamous for his youth (the youngest member of Congress, he's currently 29 years old, and will turn 30 in late May), work ethic (asked to be assigned to three committees as a House freshman, rather than the usual two) and his washboard abs (TMZ posted a picture of a shirtless Schock posing with a buxom woman in a bikini in 2009). Schock appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Monday to talk about the last of these qualities.

Schock appears shirtless on the cover of this month's Men's Health magazine to promote a summer fitness initiative.

"Congressman, first things first, that's airbrushed, isn't it?" Willie Geist asked. "You don't have rippling abs like that?"

Schock pointed out that the scar from his appendix removal was still visible as proof that the midsection, which led the magazine to caption him the "fittest congressman," was really his.
