U.S. Army Spc. Mark Anderson stood on the side of a road Sunday night, waving an American flag and cheering near Lewis-McChord Joint Base in Washington state. After hearing news of the killing of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Anderson said that it had been a “long time coming.”
“I personally joined because of Osama bin Laden,” Anderson said. “I wanted to do my part.”
