Jon Stewart's interview with Fox News' Chris Wallace last week is still making waves in the pool of political talking heads. On "The Chris Matthews Show" Sunday, Matthews discussed Stewart's power among young people and his wide television audience.

“I do believe a lot of people get their news from him," Matthews said. "It’s really – maybe scary, maybe not – but he does have power.”

He says that what were once gentle jabs of jokes have turned into devastating blows.

Panelist Norah O'Donnell, however, didn't sound scared of Stewart at all.

"He does have great political power," she said. "Jon Stewart says the stuff you say at home when you're watching TV, and he says it better than anyone else, and in a fun way, in a humorous way."
