Fresh off his destruction of the career of former Congressman Anthony Weiner, BigGovernment's Andrew Breitbart showed up unannounced at the Netroots Nation conference on Friday, trailed by his camera crew.

As reported by Dave Weigel of Slate, Breitbart was quickly confronted by progressive activist Ryan Clayton, who told him that since he had no credential to cover the conference, "maybe you should leave" and then asked if he felt it was "okay for you to be here without paying."

Breitbart attempted to enter the main hall, but staffers refused to let him through without a press credential. They later told Talking Points Memo that he "will not be given a media credential, for fear that he'll use it to disrupt the proceedings."

Meanwhile, a cursing and hectoring crowd had pursued Breitbart with cries of "Coward! Coward!" into a service entrance and out of the building.
