Mali entrepreneur plans world’s largest ostrich farm
Mamadou Coulibaly is a farmer and entrepreneur in Banguineda, Mali who opened an ostrich farm in 2008 with only 100 birds. Today, he has 3,000 — making his the largest farm in West Africa — and plans to expand to 10,000 by 2014, which would make his the world’s largest ostrich farm. There are only 30,000 breeding ostriches on farms in the world today.
