Boehner debt-limit bill delayed by GOP opposition
The vote on House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) debt-limit bill was postponed Thursday after members of his own party turned against it. Every Democrat is expected to vote against his plan, meaning the bill cannot pass the House if more than 23 Republican vote “no.”
His budget plan would cut $917 from the federal budget and extend the debt ceiling for six months.
