Republican presidential hopeful and former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain appeared on NBC's "Today" and defended his lack of foreign policy experience. He claimed he would get up to speed before taking office, if elected.

“You don’t need foreign policy experience to know who your friends are and who your enemies are," Cain said. "And you don’t need foreign policy experience to know that you don’t tell your enemy what your next move is.”

"I'm not waiting to get elected," Cain said, and claimed that he was talking to experts to know "how to react to crises."

Cain stumped at a Godfather's Pizza over the holiday weekend, and claimed that he was in third place of Republicans "if you average out the polls."
