Video has emerged of New York City police preparing their raid, which Mayor Michael Bloomberg said was necessary to protect protesters, into Zuccotti Park to crackdown early Tuesday morning on 'Occupy Wall Street's' sleeping bags and tents.
Police reportedly came at around 1 AM and cordoned off the park, ordering protesters to leave so the sanitation department could move in and clean the park. Protesters signaled the chants of "Mic check" and "Everyone stay calm" before the crackdown occurred.
Protesters chanted "Mic check" and "Everyone stay calm" as police moved in. "Several hundred" officers participated in the eviction, the mayor said, and about 200 people were arrested.
