Man climbs New York Times building for newspaper
New York City police said that a man tried to climb atop The New York Times‘ building for a copy of a newspaper Saturday morning, making it up to the 5th floor before being captured, according to The New York Post.
Authorities received a call at 7 A.M. about the 31-year-old man, who was unidentified and taken to Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
This isn’t the first time an individual has tried to climb up The New York Times building. On July 5, 2008, both a French stuntman and a native New Yorker climbed all the way to the top in separate attempts. Another man tried to climb the building a month later, but made it only to the 11th floor.
