Billionaire Donald Trump voiced his major concern over Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) budget proposal Monday, calling it "very dangerous" for GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney to support.
Appearing on Fox and Friends, The Apprentice host displayed his annoyance with the timing of Ryan releasing the House Republican budget last week in the middle of the campaign season.
"I think it's very bad politically, and I think the Democrats will have a field day with it," he said. "And I just think it's bad timing. And I've said it before when he announced it originally, and I'm saying it again. I think the Democrats will have an absolute field day."
Trump preferred for Republicans "to wait after the election" to release their plans and labeled Ryan's move as "suicidal." When asked if he thought Romney should back away from his previous support of Ryan's budget, Trump left the decision for Romney to figure out before continuing his criticism.
"I just think it's a very dangerous plan for Mitt Romney, to be honest" he said. "Already the Democrats are starting to write their campaign literature based on this plan. I just think it's very dangerous for the Republicans."
