In a recent interview with presumptive Republican nominee Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA), Diane Sawyer asked the candidate whether he or Obama. On Wednesday night's edition of "The Daily Show," host Jon Stewart decided to tackle that question from the perspective of an actual professional comedian.
President Obama, said Stewart, is a seasoned pro at this point, ready to take on "the big rooms" like the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Romney, on the other hand, is still learning, as is evinced by his "Hey, I'm unemployed, too!" remarks to a table full of jobless voters. Too awkward, said Stewart, and you don't really want to heckle your audience.
However, Romney got points for a slapstick bit he pulled in a diner, and to be fair, the president really fumbled with that "spilled milk" joke in the State of the Union speech.
Either way, as Stewart said, the economy's still in the toilet and the country's going to hell in a hand basket, so whose lame-ish jokes do you want to listen to for the next four years?
