A flier advising males students at Ohio's Miami University about the "Top Ten Ways to Get Away with Rape" has prompted school officials to launch an investigation.

According to a Cincinnati Enquirer report published late last week, the document was reportedly posted in a male bathroom in McBride Hall dorm.

The rape advice included drugging women's drinks, taking advantage of women who were walking alone, using a condom, assaulting unconscious victims and that rapists could "slit her throat" to keep the crime a secret.

The 10th suggestion simply said: "RAPE RAPE RAPE, its [sic] college boys live it up!!"

Women Against Violence and Sexual Assault (WAVE), a campus group dedicated to preventing sexual assault, said that the university had not reacted strongly enough to the flier.

"If I wasn’t involved with WAVE I wouldn’t have known about this incident," WAVE vice president Kate Van Fossen told the Enquirer on Friday. “The university is brushing this issue … under the rug.”

Van Fossen asked university officials to warn students to be vigilant following the discovery of the flier but WAVE received no response.

“It could have been a joke, but the fact of the matter is that those thoughts are crossing someone’s mind. There are girls living in a hall where someone came up with that,” she explained. “It’s just disturbing.”

Between 2009 through 2011, 27 sexual assaults were reported at the Oxford campus, according to Miami University police.

Students who are victims of sexual assault can visit the university's website for links to resources, including victim advocacy, medical assistance, counseling and legal advice.
