Friday night on his weekly "New Rules" segment of "Real Time with Bill Maher," host Bill Maher offered a bit of advice to President Barack Obama regarding his second term.
"Now that he's been re-elected, President Obama must get back at all those right wing hacks who tried to paint him as an angry black man pushing a liberal agenda," said Maher, "by becoming an angry black man who's pushing a liberal agenda."
Maher said that he's mostly been holding his tongue about the president over the last season of "Real Time," because he didn't want to "muddy the waters in a country where you only get two choices," but the time has come, he said, to hold the president's "feet to the fire."
Maher said he likes the president, and that he enjoyed all the "secret strategy meetings" with George Soros and the New Black Panthers, "I found him to be very agreeable, Allah be praised."
"There's no third term, Mr. President, so you might as well throw caution to the wind," continued Maher, "because it's not like we're using it to produce energy."
On the topics of many issues like clean energy, civil liberties, the drug war, the drone war and a host of other progressive issues, "You're free now," he said to the president, "with no more elections to win. You are free to never again have to kiss the ass of coal-miners, and say the words 'clean coal.'"
With regards to the defense budget, the U.S., he said, has the same problem as Mrs. Petraeus has with her husband's penis. "It's swollen and we can't bring ourselves to touch it."
He went on to urge the president to end the drug war, "And if the conservatives bitch about it, throw 'states' rights' back in their face."
The people have spoken, said Maher, and the president should listen.
