Hundreds of angry high school students in Sweden mounted an angry protest Tuesday after an anonymous user posted stolen photos of teen "sluts," some as young as 13 years old.

According to The Local, the demonstration at Plusgymnasiet High School in Gothenburg drew more than 100 teens, some of whom allegedly threw rocks at police and jumped on cars before dispersing.

The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported that the gathering was instigated by "sexaktiviteter" an anonymous account on the photo site Instagram that invited users to contribute "pictures of sluts." The account quickly amassed more than 7,000 followers, and more than 200 images being submitted, along with accusations of sexual activity, or "slut-shaming."

One 17-year-old boy who wished to stay anonymous said he was informed by friends via text message that pictures of him were sent to the account.

"They wrote that they saw that I was on the site, he told the newspaper. "I was shocked and tried to contact the person or who was behind the account, but no one answered."

One 16-year-old girl, Ebba, said pictures of her on the account said she liked to "sleep with everyone." Her family threatened to report the incident to authorities after she told them what had happened.

The backlash against "sexaktiviteter," which included threats of violence and at least one threat of suicide, led to the account being shut down, only for a similar one to appear on Facebook. When a 17-year-old girl who attends the school was identified online as the person behind the account, another Facebook page was started to organize the demonstration.

Police did take an unidentified female student in for questioning regarding the account, but it has not been confirmed if she is the same person targeted by the protest.
