Police: Connecticut man filmed ladies bathrooms at church and work
A Connecticut man admitted to police this week that he placed cameras in ladies restrooms at his church and workplace over the last several years, according to published reports.
Police arrested Darrel Lewis after a co-worker at Peening Technologies noticed a camera filming her in the restroom. She spoke to NBC Connecticut after the arrest, but her identity was not revealed.
“I thought I was dreaming,” she reportedly said. “I didn’t even know what to do.”
Once confronted, Lewis allegedly admitted to installing cameras in several restrooms since 2009, and court documents say there are likely dozens of victims. Police added that one of them may be an 11-year-old girl.
Lewis reportedly faces a single court of voyeurism, a Class D misdemeanor that carries a penalty of up to a year in prison. The charges could grow if police find evidence of additional crimes on his computer.
