In a slyly edited version of Vice President Joe Biden's Facebook Q&A this week in which he advocated Americans buying shotguns, late night talk show host Conan O'Brien featured the fast-talking veep bragging about his corvette, getting drunk and buying heavy weaponry.
"He started strong but, in my opinion, Biden tried too hard to appeal to the young Facebook crowd," Conan said.
The footage that followed took Biden's comments out of context, stacking odd statement after odd statement.
"What do you think about people, no matter what your age, being able to go out and purchase cocaine?"
"I'd like to know, if we're having a party, if your parents lock the liquor cabinet."
"There are a lot of cars like my car, a Corvette I had as a young man. Still have it. 1967 Corvette."
It was all downhill from there.
