A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an acid attack on a woman on her own doorstep in East London, police said on Sunday.
The 28-year old victim of the attack, has asked police to identify her only as 'Tara.'
The woman suffered horrific injuries to her face and upper body after acid was sprayed in her face in Romford, north-east London last month.
Scotland Yard said the boy was detained on Saturday night and is being held in custody at an East London police station.
The victim said she answered the door to a stranger who asked to speak to 'Michelle' shortly before 9pm on April 30. The attacker came back about 30 minutes later and squirted an acidic substance in her face from a bottle, police said.
The woman managed to shut the door after the assault and rinse her face with water while an ambulance was called.
The incident follows the acid attack on 20 year-old Naomi Oni, who was attacked after getting off a bus in Lodge Avenue, Dagenham, in December last year.
