‘Significant number of subpoenas’: GOP Jan. 6 Commission member reveals ‘a lot of people’ will be ordered to testify
One of the Republican members of the House January 6 Commission revealed Monday that Americans will see a "significant number of subpoenas" being issued to "a lot of people" ordering them to testify about he events of January 6, the day of the Trump-incited insurrection.
"I would expect to see a significant number of subpoenas for a lot of people," U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger told ABC News in an exclusive interview.
Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois, "would support subpoenas to anybody that can shed light on that, if that's the leader that's the leader," Kinzinger added. "Anybody with parts of that information, with inside knowledge, can probably expect to be talking to the committee."
"If anybody's scared of this investigation I ask you one question, what are you afraid of? I mean, either you're afraid of being discovered, of having some culpability in it or, you know what? If you -- if you think it wasn't a big deal, then you should allow this to go forward," Kinzinger declared.
Mary Trump jabbed Meghan McCain for skipping out on her latest appearance on "The View," and social media users cheered.
"It's a shame that your colleague didn't have the courage to come on and have this conversation with me, she added. "But I appreciate that you all are willing to take up these very difficult subjects because racism, in my view, is at the heart everything in 21st-Century America."
Trump's shot drew applause and prompted laughter online.

Harlan Hill, a spokesperson for Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), celebrated the expiration of a moratorium on evictions despite being guilty of being evicted twice himself.
In a tweet on Monday, Hill mocked activists who slept on the U.S. Capitol steps to protest the end of the eviction moratorium that was put in place due to Covid-19.
Y'all haven't paid rent for over a year. Go get a fucking job. https://t.co/R15REZOHPl

"Get a f**king job," he wrote.
Writer Kathleen O'Nline pointed out that Hill has been evicted at least twice from apartments in Washington, D.C.
"Gaetz spokesman Harlan Hill, celebrating the expiration of the eviction moratorium and telling those at risk of eviction to 'get a f**king job,' has been evicted from 2 apartments DC - including in 2019, when he was forced to vacate after failing to pay close to $10K in back rent," she noted.
