Two New York teens were arrested this week after investigators discovered photos of them on Facebook taking a stolen electric wheelchair for a joyride.

The 14-year-olds allegedly broke into a home in Flower Hill that was still under construction, being retrofitted to accommodate the owner of the stolen Quantum 600 Power Base wheelchair.

Police said the boys made off with the chair around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, riding it around the neighborhood until the battery power ran out. The chair, worth over $17,000, has not yet been recovered.

Nassau County Police told The Associated Press that the boys face charges of third-degree burglary and grand larceny. Their names were not released due to their status as minors.
