Oklahoma man accused of peeping from under outhouse toilet
A 52-year-old Oklahoma man was arrested on peeping tom charges Sunday night after a woman reportedly caught him looking up at her from the septic tank under a public toilet.
“It’s not something you expect to see whenever you’re wanting to go to the restroom,” Ambra Reynolds told KJRH-TV on Monday. “I screamed, grabbed my daughter, trampled my son on the way out scared to death. We ran out.”
Tulsa World reported that the suspect, Kenneth Webster Enlow, told Tulsa County Sheriffs deputies was hit in the head with a tire iron and dumped into the tank at White Water Park by his girlfriend, but a subsequent medical examination did not reveal any injuries consistent with his story.
Reynolds told KJRH that Enlow, who authorities reported who stands 6 feet tall and weighs more than 200 pounds, did not ask for help getting out of the tank until after authorities arrived.
“They sprayed him off with the front hose of the firetruck, and probably for a very good reason,” a witness, Stuart Meyer, told KOTV-TV. “When he first came out, he was covered in defecation. Looked like he’d been down there for quite some time.”
Enlow was arrested on misdemeanor Peeping Tom charges, which carry penalties of up to a year in jail with the possibility of a fine up to $5,000, but Assistant District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler suggested to the World that more penalties could be forthcoming.
“Peeping Tom can be a felony,” Kunzweiler told the World. “It just depends on the facts and circumstances, there are a number of options, which we’ll review before deciding whether to file criminal charges.”
