Oklahoma man hog-ties burglar up for police
A man suspected of burglary tangled with the wrong man and ended up hog-tied in the yard until Tulsa, Oklahoma police arrived on Wednesday, according to KOTV.
According to Denay Houston, she and her husband heard breaking glass and saw a folding chair inside their daughter’s bedroom around 6 a.m. Her husband went around to the front to wait for the man, later identified as Robert Cole, to exit. It was then that he bum-rushed Cole and tied his hands and feet behind his back.
Houston, who said she was 9 months pregnant, fawned over her husband, “He’s like a superhero.”
Her husband told Houston he had to go to work, and therefore wasn’t able to be interviewed by local media. Instead, he called police and had Houston watch over him. Houston said her husband isn’t a rodeo guy, but he does own horses.
Cole faces a charge of first-degree burglary and police said that when they apprehended him, he appeared to be on drugs and believed he was in another Oklahoma town about 12 miles away. Cole had been arrested for drug possession and larceny in 2011, but charges were later dismissed. Cole is being held in jail in lieu of $32,079 bond.
When KOTV asked what was going through her mind while this all went down, Houston replied, “I was like, ‘That’s my man!’ I was really proud of him.”
