Four people are dead and four are injured after a shooting rampage in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday night. According to the Associated Press, police have a suspect in custody in the shootings.


Dallas police Sgt. Warren Mitchell told reporters that around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a shooting at an address in southwest Dallas. When they arrived they found four gunshot victims, two of whom were dead.

The suspect reportedly fled to nearby DeSoto, Texas, where he shot four more people, killing two, according to DeSoto Police Department spokesperson Cpl. Melissa Franks.

DeSoto police took the suspect into custody at the scene of the second shooting, Franks said, and are currently trying to ascertain his connection to the victims.
