Friday night on "Real Time with Bill Maher," host Bill Maher ended his weekly "New Rules" segment by saying that U.S. policy toward Syria is making our country look less like the world's policeman and more like the world's George Zimmerman.

"Twelve years after 9/11," said Maher, "and amidst yet another debate on whether to bomb yet another Muslim country, America must stop asking the question, 'Why do they hate us?'"

"Forget the Syria debate," he continued. "We need to have a debate about why we're always debating about whether to bomb someone. Because we're starting to look not so much like the world's policeman, but more like George Zimmerman."
