On Tuesday night's edition of "The Colbert Report," host Stephen Colbert discussed some new trends in food in a segment called "Thought for Food."
First, he talked about the KFC "Go Cup," a cup-shaped container of chicken fingers and french fries.
"This is going to revolutionize the way I drink meat," said Colbert.
The commercial for the "Go Cup" features a pair of police officers on their lunch break in a police cruiser. Colbert played the ad and in it, the two officers receive a call that a "10-31" is in progress. The older cop sends his rookie partner to investigate and when he leaves, sneaks a bite of one of the chicken fingers in the cup.
"By the way, if you're wondering what a '10-31' in progress means," Colbert said, "the California Highway Patrol says it's an attempted suicide, I looked it up. Which, incidentally, is how the USDA classifies the 'Go Cup.'"
