The former head of the South Carolina Republican Party has again made headlines for inappropriate rantings on Twitter.

“There are people who respect transgender rights,” Todd Kincannon tweeted on Monday. “And there are people who think you should all be put in a camp. That's me.”

His anti-transgender tirade did not end there.

Kincannon also described transgender individuals as "sick freaks" who should be "locked up in mental institutions and their care paid for by the state."

Kincannon has previously made headlines for saying it was a shame an Iraq war veteran "didn’t come home in a body bag," and for mocking Trayvon Martin’s death and Hurricane Katrina.

The South Carolina GOP has said Kincannon only served as executive director of the organization for three months.
