Guillermo del Toro releases spooky 'Simpsons' opening sequence

In the video embedded below, horror and suspense filmmaker Guillermo del Toro created his own spooky version of the opening credits to "The Simpsons." The Mexican-born del Toro directed the films "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Pacific Rim."


His "Simpsons" intro will open this year's version of the show's annual Halloween episode, "Treehouse of Horror XXIV." The video features nods to Alfred Hitchcock, Edgar Allen Poe, "The Walking Dead," classic horror films and more.
