WATCH: Paul Ryan avoids Dreamers' questions at book signing as security removes them

Appearing at a book signing in Florida, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) was confronted by a group of Dreamers wanting to talk to the congressman about about his recent vote against Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), only to be hustled away by security.

The former vice-presidential nominee is currently on a book tour promoting his book, The Way Forward, and seemed prepared to avoid the type of confrontation that caused Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) to become an object of national ridicule at the beginning of the month when he ran away from a young woman.

In a video uploaded to YouTube by United We Dream, several Dreamers -- young undocumented immigrants whose deportations has been deferred -- stand in line at the book signing at a Books-A-Million store waiting to have a copy of Ryan's book autographed and their picture taken by a Ryan staffer with an iPad.

As each one greets the congressman they begin to ask him to explain his DACA vote, with one Dreamer saying, "A couple weeks ago you voted for defunding DACA. It would put me and my sister up for deportation. We just had a question -- do you want to deport me and my sister?"

As Ryan tells each one to read his book -- after posing for a picture -- a store employee steps in and runs interference for the congressman as a security officer steps forward and escorts the Dreamer away.

In one instance, after Dreamer Ray Jose tells the congressman that he has already read the book, Ryan dismisses Jose's attempt to ask a question, saying, "Nah, I'm not taking any questions. I'm doing a book signing."

As Jose is led away by security, what appears to be a Ryan staffer in in a green shirt steps into the frame and attempts to block the cameras view.

Jose states a the the end of the video: "I ask you again, Congressman Ryan, are you going to take away our Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and deport us, deport Dreamers like myself? And if so, and that's your way forward, know that Dreamers before me fought for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Dreamers like myself will defend it."
