JK Rowling promises new ‘Harry Potter’ story on Halloween
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed that she will release a new story about one of the fictional universe’s most despicable characters on Halloween, Mashable reports.
The 1,700-word story will reveal details about the life of Dolores Umbridge, who served as headmistress of Hogwarts in the fifth book and film in the series, Order of the Phoenix.
According to the announcement — which can only be viewed by members of the Pottermore online community — “Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry.”
This is the third story set in the Harry Potter universe that Rowling has released this year.
She is currently working on the screenplay to the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
