Two law enforcement officers from New York have been arrested in the sexual assault of a woman at an Atlantic City casino.
Officer Andrei Torres, a 32-year-old New York City police officer, and Trooper Devon Thomas, a 35-year-old New York police trooper, were extradited Wednesday to New Jersey, where they were charged with aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault by force but without injury.
A 34-year-old New York woman told police the men attacked her while she was intoxicated April 24 at the Trump Taj Mahal casino, but authorities have not released any additional details.
Attorneys for both law enforcement officers said their clients were innocent.
Both Torres and Thomas have been suspended from their jobs.
