Photographs of a slain Washington woman's body were posted online along with a message that appears to be from her killer, promising to commit "suicide by cops."

The woman’s son discovered her body at their Port Orchard home about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and called police, neighbors said.

That’s exactly what a message posted at 2:54 p.m. on 4chan predicted would happen, reported KIRO-TV.

The station found a link to the 4chan message board post in the comments section of the Port Orchard Independent.

Photos of a nude woman’s body, with marks on her neck, were shown in the post, which urged viewers to check the news for Port Orchard, Washington, in a few hours.

“Her son will be home from school soon,” the post said. “He'll find her, then call the cops. I just wanted to share the pics before they find me. I bought a BB gun that looks realistic enough. When they come, I'll pull it and it will be suicide by cop. I understand the doubts. Just check the f*cking news. I have to lose my phone now."

Investigators said the woman, whose name was not released but is believed to be in her 30s, appears to have been targeted, based on evidence found in her apartment.

A neighbor who lives in the duplex told KOMO-TV the victim moved there with her husband or boyfriend about a month ago.

"You can hear everything in these apartments,” the neighbor said. “You can hear people's TVs -- everything -- and no fighting. I mean, I didn't see her too often. I saw him more than I saw her, so I think she really stuck to herself.”

The woman’s car – a gold 2001 Ford Focus with two rear doughnut spares and the Washington license plate number 495-YLY – is missing.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Police stationed additional officers at the crime scene over concerns about the contents of the message board posting.
