The founder of Hipster.com scrubbed more than 40 tweets denigrating the gay community and women after being hired by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s (R) budding presidential campaign, Buzzfeed reported.
Ethan Czahor’s Twitter account went from 177 posts to 132 after Bush hired him to serve as his chief technology officer.
“Governor Bush believes the comments were inappropriate,” a spokesperson for Bush said in a statement. “They have been deleted at our request. Ethan is a great talent in the tech world and we are very excited to have him on board the Right to Rise PAC.”
Buzzfeed captured screenshots of some of the tweets Czahor scrubbed, which can be seen below:
According to Time magazine, Czahor will work for Bush’s presidential action committee, Ready To Rise, and also included the message, “Want to work on the greatest political tech stack ever created?” in the code for a website containing a speech Bush made to the Detroit Economic Club last week.
