There are legitimate debates about how certain films beat others for the Academy Award for "Best Picture."
"How did Pulp Fiction lose to that nostalgic pablum?" a reasonable person might ask.
"Was Apocalypse Now really defeated by that snotty musical?" is a completely rational question, as is "Fargo was taken down by a sympathetic film about a man who dabbled in ethnic cleansing?"
But some of the films the Academy has awarded "Best Picture" are just indefensible, and here are the ten worst of them:
