The Sesame Street Workshop released a parody of Oscar-contender Birdman, in which one of its most iconic characters follows around his puppeteer in a style and with a soundtrack of Alejandro González Iñárritu's film.

In the brief clip, longtime "Big Bird" puppeteer Caroll Spinney starts hearing the giant bird's voiced, which is now performed by Matt Vogel. As in Birdman, the voice does not offer support.

"This place is crawling with monsters," it begins by saying. "Smells like birdseed. I never thought we'd be here for this long."

"How many different ways can you learn the alphabet?" the voice asks.

"Lots, apparently," it answers.

"Maybe we should have done that Raymond Carver play," it adds. "How did we get here?"
