Conservative reaction on Twitter to the announcement that six Baltimore police officer would face manslaughter charges in the death of Freddie Gray was fast and furious.

Fox News contributor Todd Starnes led off the parade, stating, "The Maryland state's attorney has declared war on law enforcement."

Starnes comment was slapped right back at him by Gabe Ortiz, who tweeted: "Marilyn Mosby's father, mother, and grandfather were police officers, you dolt.

Mosby, who is African American, campaigned to be State Attorney based on her family's long association with law enforcement, saying in an interview, "My grandfather, my uncles, my mother, my father — I have five generations of police officers. I know that the majority of police officers are really hard-working officers who are risking their lives day in and day out, but those really bad ones who go rogue do a disservice to the officers who are risking their lives and taking time away from their families."
