WATCH: Larry Wilmore may have the best 2 minutes on the Confederate flag you'll see
Larry Wilmore (Comedy Central)

During his panel discussion Tuesday night on the "Nightly Show," Larry Wilmore asked the actor Joe Morton what his character (Papa Pope on "Scandal") might say to defenders of the Confederate Flag.

Joe Morton proceeded to give an incredibly eloquent speech. He started slow and easy and built up to an incredibly moving conclusion that stunned Wilmore, his other guests and the viewers. Some choice lines Morton directed to a "proud Southern white boy" wanting to hoist that flag:

"You cried yourself to sleep because Lincoln hurt your feelings  ...  What you love is that corruption of the red, white and blue you call valor."

It's a wow! Watch it for yourself.
