New York Wage Board votes unanimously to raise minimum wage to $15-an-hour by 2018

New York state moved on Wednesday to raise the minimum wage for fast-food workers to $15 an hour in New York City by the end of 2018 and in the rest of the state by mid-2021.


The New York Wage Board voted unanimously on the pay increase, which would affect some 180,000 workers statewide.
