For the benefit of the cameras documenting an event marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the 94-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth gave a lesson in royal commands, telling a photographer to get on with it and "take the f*cking picture."
Video of the lapse in royal manners was, surprisingly, uploaded to YouTube by the Royal Family Channel.
Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, can be seen entering the room as dignitaries are arranged for the formal shoot.
After being seated the prince seemed anxious to have the whole thing over with, pointing a finger at the photographer and snapping at him, "I suggest you take the f*cking picture," as "his grandson, Prince William, laughed at his outburst,” reports the Evening Express.
The photographer, identified as a member of the RAF, seemed unfazed, telling the assembled royalty "Eyes on me.”
The Royal Family had no comment on the potty-mouthed prince's outburst.
