A stalker is targeting interracial couples in the Omaha area with threatening letters.
Curtis Jackson said he actually spotted the suspect as he attempted to place threatening letters on his car, reported KMTV-TV.
“I look out the window and I see the guy at my car,” Jackson told the TV station. “He dropped the letters across the ground.”
Jackson – who is black, and whose girlfriend, Tasha, is white – said the letters have grown more threatening since they first were plastered to their car last month.
The first one began, “Dear uneducated white woman,” and was riddled with racial slurs, and the next one said, “you’re dumb for dating a black guy, and you’re gonna make dirty black babies.”
The second note made more direct threats against Tasha, and Jackson said he is worried about her safety.
The couple filed a police report at that point, and investigators said other interracial couples have been targeted with similar threats.
Jackson said both letters came after they returned home from the gym, and the couple has found another place to live.
“We don’t know when he’s coming, we don’t know where he’s at, we don’t know where he’s coming from,” Jackson said.
Police have not made any arrests yet in the case, which remains under investigation.
